AMAA is a platform that projects the African film industry to Africa and the rest of the world. It is a glamorous celebration of artistry honoring excellence in African Filmmaking and Cinema.

Screendance makers are invited to choreograph, shoot and edit what “weight” means to them: what is weight, where is it found, what it means in terms of pace, rhythm, timing, is it comedic, serious, philosophical, how is it portrayed in movement, the emotional, the physical, the body.

The festival accepts short and feature length films and videos in the following categories: narrative, documentary, experimental, animation for the competitions.

Join us for a half-day workshop from the 3rd to 7th December, designed to give you 'the inside story’ on various aspects of the film and tv industry from target marketing to funding, pitching to budgeting so you can shape that concept, story and proposal of yours for funding submissions.
