Camera / Grips Client Liaison Assistant Cape Town

A leading international camera and grips rental company is looking for an ideal candidate who is dedicated, committed and a hard- working team player with administrative knowledge and experience in all aspects of the film industry especially in camera.

The job description is listed below. Previous work experience within the film industry will enhance your application. The candidate needs own reliable transport, must be computer literate, and must be willing to work irregular working hours. Market related salary package offered and is negotiable.

General duties include:

• Responsible for the day- to- day co- ordination of projects/ film shoots
• Daily order updates on the various feature film projects that will be running
• Orders to suppliers on approval
• Responsible for quoting and invoicing on the current system to crew and clients
• Active schedule, scheduling gear on various shoots
• Responsible for the co- ordination of student/ non- profit projects
• Available to work overtime and weekends upon request
• Can from time to time be requested to perform duties outside immediate areas of responsibility

Job requirements include:

• Grade 12 (Standard 10) certificate
• Excellent communication skills, preferably English
• Has to be a people/ client pleaser
• At least 3 years’ experience in film industry/ rental house
• Excellent understanding of camera and grips equipment
• Extensive in- house training with regards to the equipment
