Videographer / Editor Cape Town

We are looking for a videographer and editor to join our creative team, You will participate in the entire video production process from start to finish, so you need to have experience in camera operation and lighting as well as experience in post-production for original video content.

We’re looking for someone with insight into what makes videos highly shareable, entertaining and informative. You’ll need excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Cape Town branch.

Plan and research video concepts.
Collaborate with our content team to execute videos and ensure efficient turn-around.
Bring creative vision to projects and effectively communicate across multiple teams.
Complete logistics work necessary for successful in-house and on locations shoots.
Searching for needed assets beyond the raw footage: music, sound effects, images, etc.
Applying colour-correction/colour grading, as well as post-production audio editing/mixing.
Implementing basic effects: motion tracking, animation, etc.
Facilitating conversations that help smooth the processes between creative intentions and end results.
Facilitate delivery for online publication.
Working with marketing team to create achievable post-production schedules.

Proficiency with Canon camera systems (if not please state what you usually use and feel comfortable with), as well as sound recording equipment.
Relevant video production experience – experience with smaller scale production preferred.
Self-motivated and proactive, with excellent organisational skills including time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail.
Keen insight into the world of social media and what video means in that space.
Working knowledge of integrating motion graphics and optimising for social distribution.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Illustrator is a plus but not essential.
Capable of quick turn-around, and juggling multiple projects.
Excellent people skills and must have the ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments.
A background or some photographic knowledge preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with handling location agreements and release forms.
