Film school is looking to fill a full time post of Academic Programme Manager for our one-year Higher Certificate in Television and Screen Media and our three-year Diploma in Television and Screen Media.
The ideal candidate should have significant professional experience in television or film. We do tend to emphasise TV workflows rather than film workflows. Someone with experience as a producer would be ideal, since the job requires good organisational and administrative skills; managing budgets; managing teams of people; managing complex schedules with strict deadlines; understanding television production workflows; understanding the personnel roles and requirements for a variety of live and recorded production types.
Knowledge of, or experience working in a networked media production environment (for example Media Central, Nexus, or iNews) is a big plus.
Experience with curriculum design, academic programme management, assessment and moderation practices will be considered as most valuable.
A Master's degree is desirable, although a lower formal qualification would be acceptable if balanced with professional experience comparable to Master's level or above.
