Marketing Manager Johannesburg

Exceptional written and oral communication skills required, 3+ years of relevant events experience in a marketing organisation, Understanding of TV, Media environment, Event management and coordination experience.

• Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
• Ability to develop strong networks and build credibility within the organisation
• Ability to perform well in a team environment and manage multiple deadline-driven projects
• Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe creative suite.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels to meet business goals
• Proven ability to take direction and input to develop effective and engaging events that will achieve organizational goals
• Willingness to go the extra mile. Strong and positive personal work ethic
• Flexible personality and quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency
• Bachelors in marketing or similar is critical
• Experience working with a Broadcaster, TV or Media company is an advantage
• Will be required to Travel occasionally
• Will be required to work some weekends and public holidays
• Own car and driver's license

Main responsibilities will include:

Leadership and Marketing management

• Team management
• Overseeing the company’s marketing budget
• Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
• Responsible for all above the line and below the line marketing initiatives
• Monitor and report on all marketing activities, campaigns and ROI

Digital Marketing

• Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company website
• Tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website
• Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns
• Utilizing a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC
• Overseeing the social media strategy for the company
• Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness
• Improving the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website
• Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing
• Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data

Content Marketing

• Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention
• Collaborate across functions and silos to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives
• Create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion
• Management of all creative resources including designers, writers, and other agency personnel
• Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand
• Executive presentations on the program approaches and results will be required

Event Management

• Plan, manage and execute events in line with the production requirements.
• Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on event programs
• Manage the day-to-day relationship and activities with external vendors and event partners
• Determine fiscal requirements and manage event budgets
• Analyze event operations and prepare and implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies within the events
• Ensure our event presence is on strategy and consistent
• Conduct research and identify new event opportunities for the company
