Sean Penn Promotes The Last Face with Javier Bardem, Charlize Theron

Actor and film director Sean Penn released the trailer of his new film The Last Face, which has Spanish Javier Bardem and South African Charlize Theron in the leading roles. The film, scheduled to premiere on January 27, tells a love story amid tragedy, wars, violence and the uncertainty of the world.

Wren Pradier (Theron) and Miguel Leon (Bardem) meet each other in Liberia; a country on the west coast of Africa immersed in political tensions and armed conflicts.

This romantic drama is the fifth film by Sean Penn as director, who debuted in that role with The Indian Runner (1991) and then repeated in the dramas The Crossing Guard (1995) and The Pledge (2001), both starring Jack Nicholson.

With his performance in the films Mystic River (2003) and Milk (2008), Penn conquered the specialized critic and obtained laureates of the U.S. Academy of cinema.
