The South African Guild of Editors (S.A.G.E) presents Edit Mania

On Thursday 20 October, 2011, the South African Guild of Editors (S.A.G.E) is presenting a unique showcasing of Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and Apple's Final Cut Pro where top editors from each competing company will participate in a live "shoot out". 

Doors open at 5pm at Media Hive, 1 Glynneville Terrace, Gardens, Cape Town. The first scheduled event starts at 6pm sharp!

Round 1: Upon registration and welcome refreshments, the audience can browse various hardware and software post-production products available on the market and chat to each product expert about best options for post-production company or individual needs. Simonsvlei will be showcasing their delicious new wine range, so be sure to come early!

Round 2: Speed date your edit suite! Edit suite experts get 10 minutes to convince you why you should commit to their suite for a fulfilling, life-long relationship.

Round 3: "The Shoot Out".  Each competitor will receive the same footage and editing instructions to be completed within the hour. The tasks include ingesting media from the Red Epic, Arri Alexa and Sony F3, offline editing, online editing, sound mixing and exporting for international television as well as web broadcasters. All work is projected live for audience viewing.

Lucky draw prizes will be dotted throughout the event. Book early to avoid disappointment.
