Writers' Guild of South Africa's Official kick-off in Cape Town

Thursday, February 23, 2012 - 6:30pm

An open invitation to performance writers in the Western Cape.

Date: Thursday 23 February 2012 Time: 6.00pm for 6.30pm

Venue: Arena Theatre.
UCT Hiddingh Campus, Orange Street, Gardens.
Entrance opposite the Labia Cinema

Special Guest - Revel Fox
This multi-talented Cape Town-based film maker has worked in film and television in South Africa and the UK for the last three decades. He is perhaps best known to South Africans as the director of the award-winning film about a young trapeze artist, The Flyer, but his work is familiar to them in many other guises - from televised music events, to soap to documentary - to name but a few. Revel's fascination with story and his insight into the scriptwriting process will be a pleasure to share.

Also - some local wine and easy eats ... a bit of stand-up, some magic and even a morsel of music to celebrate the ever increasing benefits of Writers' Guild membership

All performance writers stand to benefit from the latest developments at the WGSA, and non-writers are also welcome.

RSVP. Anyone wishing to attend should please email the WGSA Administrator (admin@writersguildsa.org), to facilitate planning & parking admittance at the Hiddingh Campus securityboom
