TFI Sloan Filmmaker Fund

The TFI Sloan Filmmaker Fund provides grants and professional guidance in support of innovative and compelling narrative features that offer a fresh take on scientific, mathematic and technological themes.

Bertha Documentary Journalism Fund

With a mission to enable in-depth analysis of issues through long-form investigative filmmaking, we are particularly looking to work with filmmakers with a journalistic background or those who are collaborating with journalists.

Channel 4 Fund

We give financing to support independent filmmakers making documentary projects that would not be commissioned by a UK broadcaster. Since our inception in 2005 we have funded over 60 award winning films.

PUMA.Creative Catalyst Award

The PUMA.Creative Catalyst Award is an international documentary development fund with twenty awards in 2012 offering up to 5,000 euros per recipient.

Bertha Connect Fund

European-based outreach and engagement fund, and is open to filmmakers from around the world.

Fonds Sud Cinema

This fund concerns feature, animation and creative documentary film projects intended for theatrical release in France and abroad. To date, more than 400 films have received support; most of them have been presented and awarded prizes at international film festivals.

National Film and Video Foundation

Individuals, companies and organisations may submit funding applications to the NFVF for grants or grant loans in any of the four funding categories; education and training, script development, production, marketing and distribution.

Africa First

The Africa First short film program is sponsored by Focus Features, and will award five (5) emerging African filmmakers $10,000.00 (ten thousand U.S. dollars) each towards pre-production, production, or post-production of their short film.

Alter-City Foundation

The grant is aimed at young video and filmmakers born and living in Africa, Asia or Latin America who want to direct a film in the language of their choice that respects the aims of the Foundation.

The Global Film Initiative

Applications are accepted for feature-length, narrative film projects in all stages of production by directors from eligible nations of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Oceania.
