Al Jazeera highlight: Ambulance

Ambulance on Al Jazeera

Just over a month after it debuted at Sheffield Doc/Fest to rave reviews, Ambulance will premiere on Al Jazeera English on 27 July 2016 at 2200 CAT.

Ambulance is a raw, first-person account by 24-year-old filmmaker Mohamed Jabaly, who joined an ambulance crew to document the 51-day war in Gaza in 2014.

Screen International's Allan Hunter praised it as "a thoughtful portrait of a city under siege and... a fascinating testimonial to personal and collective resilience..." while Aesthetica hailed it as one of the festival highlights, calling it "important footage that the whole world needs to see."

Ambulance screens as part of Witness, Al Jazeera English's inspiring documentary series that brings world issues into focus through compelling human stories. For more information, visit http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/witness/.
